Episode Synopsis:
When Jill (Patricia Richardson) opens her own checking account for the money she's made at her new job, Tim (Tim Allen) doesn't take it well, and soon the two are locked in an argument over what in their life belongs to whom. When Tim lets slip that he believes Jill's car, not to mention the whole house, belong to him because he paid for them, Jill is furious at him for marginalizing her. When Wilson (Earl Hindman) helps Tim understand that his belief that he owns everything in the house is rooted in a desire to own Jill as well, Tim makes amends by calculating up how much money he owes Jill for 12 years of marriage and motherhood.

Meanwhile, Brad (Zachery Ty Bryan) gets into hot water when he kills Jenny Sudarsky's goldfish by putting its bowl too close to a lamp and making the water too hot. At first, he and Randy (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) try to find a duplicate goldfish so she won't find out, but ultimately Brad comes clean to her - and Jenny, against all odds, isn't mad about it.
